On June 26, 2020, there will be a major release (version 4.50.00) of Apigee Edge for Private Cloud. In addition, an updated versioning scheme, release cadence and support timelines will be announced.
New versioning scheme: New releases will use the following numbering scheme: 4.5N.XX-YY.ZZ.BBBB, where:
5N - Starting with 50, this number will increment by 1 for each major release. XX - Starting with 00, this number will increment by 1 for each minor release. YY - Starting with 00, this number will increment by 1 for each patch release. ZZ - Starting with 00, this number is reserved hotfixes only BBBB - Internal build number
Revised release cadence: The following release cadence will be followed for major, minor, and patch releases:
Major and minor version releases: As needed, up to twice per year. Patches: Once per month, if there are priority issues to be resolved for customers. Hot fixes: As soon as possible.
Support Timelines Release 19.01 will be supported until December 31, 2020. Release 19.06 will be supported until May 31, 2021.
